Shellharbour Sports Physio is a physiotherapy clinic servicing Shell Cove and the neighbouring suburbs in the local Shellharbour area.


Meet the team...

Matthew Klaczkiewicz

Matt graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy). He worked in North West Sydney for four years before moving to Shell Cove in 2015.


During his time as a physiotherapist, Matt has worked extensively with titled APA Sports Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic surgeons, Sports Physicians and Radiologists, seeing thousands of clients and helping them get back to their best.


Matt is continually completing professional development courses both online and in person to keep up to date on the latest research regarding rehabilitation of injuries.


Common injuries that Matt sees include:

  • ankle sprains

  • back pain (disc bulges, facet joint pain, arthritis/spondylitis, muscular pain, sciatica/nerve pain)

  • pelvis/SIJ pain

  • neck pain (wry neck, muscle pain, disc bulges, facet pain, arthritis/narrowing/spondylitis, nerve pain)

  • shoulder pain (impingement, rotator cuff tendinopathy/tears)

  • knee pain (ACL tears, meniscus tears, arthritis)

  • achilles pain (tendinitis/tears/ruptures)

  • plantarfasciitis

  • osteoarthitis

  • tennis elbow/golfers elbow


When he isn't at work you will find Matt spending time with his wife and three kids, playing cricket or having a round of golf.

Ayden Janssen

Ayden Graduated from Charles Sturt University in Port Macquarie, completing a Bachelor Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. He has worked as a Physiotherapist in Shellharbour for the past few years. In 2024 he is to commence his Masters Degree of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University, with the aim of becoming an APA Titled Specialist Sports Physio. He also has extensive experience working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for various sporting teams. He has completed further qualifications in dry needling and courses on the biomechanics of the lumbar spine, shoulder and knee, and their relevance to pain science.


Ayden is passionate about working with all people at different stages of their life to achieve their goals. He has a particular interest in working with:

-        Adult hip pain (e.g. Osteoarthritis, FAI, Dysplasia, Labral tears)

-        Hip, knee, ankle/foot pain in elite or recreational runners

-        Adolescent athletes

-        Chronic low back pain

-        Acute or chronic shoulder pain


Outside of Physiotherapy, Ayden enjoys surfing, exploring camping spots along the South Coast and a good cup of coffee.
